In early 2009 it was decided the Society would have a social club outing to Amsterdam with P&O Ferries. As with all things along the way plans changed and some decided to stop in Amsterdam for a couple of nights and try and take in a couple of pond visits if this was possible. Dave Ross a newcomer to the club this year set about making contacts and quickly had 3 pond visits in place. We all arrived in Amsterdam on the 22nd of October, and spent the day walking round Amsterdam taking in the sights and having a couple of drinks....quickly the day was drawing to a close for Dave & Andrea, Bob & Jane and Helen and Sue, they all set off back to the ferry to enjoy their evening meal and a nice relaxing night on the ferry before arriving home on Friday. The rest of the group (Dave& Janice, Trev & Glenda, Kathy & Baz) stayed on in Amsterdam to take in the pond visits, making sure they was off to an early start on Thursday by jumping on the train to  Eindhoven. Frank and martien kindly met them and escorted them round their ponds, after a full packed day of pond visits they all went out for a meal, where they presented Frank, Martien and Leo with a glass paperweight as thank you for taking them into their homes and opening their ponds.
