North Lincolnshire Koi Club are a group of people with a common interest in pond and fish keeping, particularly Koi Carp. Although we do keep other fish too, the emphasis is on Koi Carp.
The club was established in 1992 in Grimsby and recently moved to Brigg to centralize the club with Scunthorpe and surrounding areas. We offer advice on pond construction, pond maintenance, health care and the good husbandry of cold water pond fish. There is an annual photographic koi show and social evenings which include BBQ’s and wine evenings etc, usually in summer.
The meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Arties Mill, Brigg (Picture left).
We regularly have guest speakers who specialise in differing aspects of koi keeping who come to give us interesting talks, slide shows, videos and demonstrations.
Visits are arranged to other Koi Clubs to view their ponds, trips to Koi dealers, outings to Koi shows and anything else of interest to our members.
The club has an annual members photographic Koi show, when winning members are awarded Club trophies.
If you are new to the world of KOI keeping and would appreciate our members views or need advice, however small, please come along to one of our meetings…… you will be made most welcome.
